Tonight, we will have some of the latest news from the Smokies. We'll also welcome Carolyn and Wayne Williams on the program. They are members of the Great Smoky Mountains Geocaching Club. If you are not familiar with geocaching, it is similar to a scavenger hunt that anyone can take part in. All you need is a GPS device. I've had several listeners ask me to do a show on geocaching, so tonight's the night!! We'll also preview our 2nd "LIVE FROM THE SMOKIES" series. This time it is all about skiing! This show will focus on Cataloochee and the Maggie Valley area where Cataloochee Ski Area is located. We will then spend the day skiing at Cataloochee. Then, we will head home on Feb. 1st. I'll host a "trip report" show similar to the wrap-up show I did after our last "LIVE IN THE SMOKIES" series back in October of 2008. That show will air after Feb. 1st. He was a series regular on the NBC series “Parenthood” and you have seen him in numerous commercials. Among other writing credits has written for radio, Television, award shows, ESPN and Comedy Central. He was a wrtiter for “Best Damn Sports Show Period” on Fox and was the writer and show host of the USA channel game show “Smush” For Comedy Central he served as the head writer for “Tough Crowd” and as producer for “Mind of Mencia”. He was a consulting producer on CBS’s comedy series “The New Adventures of Old Christine”. He has written for the MTV Music Award show and for the “Guy’s Choice Awards” on Spike TV. Currently, he is working on numerous writing projects.

Governor Ehrlich was elected to lead Maryland in November 2002 The Governor made good on his promises, turning $4 billion in deficits into a $2.4 billion surplus and appointing the most politically diverse and qualified cabinet in Maryland’s history. Growing up in ArbutusGovernor Ehrlich was born in 1957 in Arbutus, Maryland, a small, working-class suburb of Baltimore City. In 1967, the Ehrlich family moved out of an apartment and into a row house on Dolores Avenue, where Mr. and Mrs. Ehrlich still live today. Education Governor Ehrlich won scholarships to the Gilman School in Baltimore and later to Princeton University. His academic and football success continued at Princeton University, where he studied political science and co-captained the football team. After graduating from Princeton in 1979, Governor Ehrlich entered the Wake Forest University School of Law, where he worked as an graduate assistant football coach to earn extra money, while attending classes during the day. Legal Career After Governor Ehrlich finished law school in 1982, he moved back to Maryland to work for the Baltimore law firm of Ober, Kaler, Grimes, and Shriver, where he practiced for more than a decade. While working as an attorney, Governor Ehrlich ran successfully for the House of Delegates, where he was known for a collegial style that helped him build bridges - and forge lasting friendships - across the political aisle.
